From GSTIN capture at the cart to the GSTR-1 export your CA files — automated on every order.
Collect & validate GSTINs across five surfaces — cart-page embed, B2B Company, order attribute, customer metafield, and admin override. No Checkout UI Extension needed.
Place-of-supply logic splits tax on every order — CGST+SGST intra-state, IGST inter-state. Rates come from per-product HSN/SAC, back-solved so the invoice total always matches what the customer paid.
GST-compliant PDFs with GSTIN, HSN, logo, signature, MRP column, and Indian "Amount in Words". Credit notes auto-issue on refunds and RTO cancellations.
Eight sectioned report types — B2B, B2CL, B2CS, CDNR, CDNUR, B2CSA, HSN, DOCS — plus a GSTR-3B summary and GSTN-portal JSON. Background generation with a re-downloadable History tab.
Native Shopify B2B support. B2B Company orders open as a Proforma, then transition to a numbered Tax Invoice on the legally correct trigger — fulfilment for goods, payment for services, per §31.
Bulk HSN importer, date-range bulk invoice ZIP download, and customer-account "Download invoice / credit note" buttons — so merchants and their customers stop emailing back and forth.
Generate every GSTR-1 section (B2B, B2CL, B2CS, CDNR, CDNUR, B2CSA, HSN, DOCS), a GSTR-3B summary, and GSTN-portal JSON — straight from your Shopify order data. Hand them to your CA or upload to the portal.
A Polaris dashboard right in your Shopify admin: orders, Tax Invoices, credit notes, and GST collected over the last 30 days, a monthly trend chart, and a Setup Health card that flags anything misconfigured before your accountant does.
Customers and B2B buyers hand you a GSTIN in different ways. GST Manager checks all five in priority order — and validates the 15-character format + mod-36 checksum before it ever lands on an invoice.
CompanyLocation supportNot a generic tax plugin retrofitted for India — built from the ground up for GST and FEMA compliance.
Place-of-supply logic determines the split automatically — intra-state gets CGST+SGST, inter-state gets IGST. Rates resolve from per-product HSN, with a shop-level default fallback.
B2B Company orders open as a Proforma, then become a numbered Tax Invoice on the legally correct trigger — fulfilment for goods, payment for services. COD issues at fulfilment; RTO auto-credits.
Every GSTR-1 section (B2B, B2CL, B2CS, CDNR, CDNUR, B2CSA, HSN, DOCS), a GSTR-3B summary, and GSTN-portal JSON — generated straight from order data, in the current GSTN format.
Per-product HSN/SAC and GST rates, B2B/B2CL/B2CS classification with a merchant-editable B2CL threshold, and a 4-tier place-of-supply fallback chain with a needs-review flag.
GST Manager installs from the Shopify App Store and runs on any Shopify plan — no servers, no code, no Plus requirement.
It's a Shopify app that makes your store Indian-GST-compliant: it captures and validates GSTINs, computes the CGST/SGST/IGST split on every order, and generates GST Tax Invoices and Credit Notes as PDFs. It also produces GSTR-1 sectioned reports, a GSTR-3B summary, and GSTN-portal JSON for filing.
It's a port of our WHMCS and WooCommerce GST Manager plugins, rebuilt natively on Shopify's Remix/Polaris stack.
Yes. GST Manager works on every Shopify plan from Basic to Plus. GSTIN capture uses a cart-page Theme App Embed and order attributes rather than a Checkout UI Extension, so you don't need Shopify Plus and you don't need to touch checkout.
GST Manager treats your product prices as tax-inclusive and back-solves the GST out of them, so the invoice total always equals what the customer actually paid. For that to line up, Shopify itself must not add tax of its own. You set every region's rate to 0% and turn off the Global tax settings — the dashboard's Setup Health card detects this and links you straight to the right Shopify settings page.
To compute GST automatically, the app subscribes to order, fulfilment, and customer webhooks — and Shopify requires Protected Customer Data approval for those. You request it once in the Partner Dashboard. Until it's approved, the app still works through a "Generate now / Regenerate" button on the order page that produces invoices on demand without webhooks.
Orders are classified as B2B, B2CL, or B2CS based on the GSTIN and order value, which keeps your GSTR-1 sections clean. B2B Company orders (native Shopify B2B) get a Proforma first, then transition to a numbered Tax Invoice on the correct time-of-supply trigger. B2C orders skip the Proforma stage entirely. (B2B + Proforma is a Pro-tier feature.)
A full catalog: GSTR-1 sectioned exports (B2B, B2CL, B2CS, CDNR, CDNUR, B2CSA, HSN, DOCS), a GSTR-3B summary, and GSTN-portal JSON — all in the current GSTN format. Generation runs in the background and a History tab lets you re-download any past run. Reports are available from the Starter plan up.
On the legally correct time-of-supply trigger, which you choose: on first fulfilment (the default for goods, per GST §31), on payment (for services), or on order creation. For COD, the Tax Invoice issues at fulfilment and an RTO cancellation auto-generates a full-value credit note. You can also issue or regenerate any invoice manually from the order page.
The Free plan covers up to 50 orders/month and includes Tax Invoice + Credit Note PDFs (with a small "Powered by GST Manager" footer), cart-page GSTIN capture, custom invoice numbering, branding, all admin extensions, and the Customers list. GST report exports, bulk tools, and the customer-account download button start on the Starter plan.
